Introduction

This is a review of a tour I made in 2004 trough central China. I started my trip in Beijing in early September and finished nine weeks later, in mid November, at the same place.

I visited China about ten years ago, but that time I only saw the area around Beijing. This time I wanted to see more of the country. I was in particular interested in what's still left of the "old" China in the east and south. I was not disappointed. I saw big cities, small villages, minority people, rainforest, strange mountains and beautiful flood vallies.

I have choosed to present my pages in a geografical order rather than cronological. To make it easier to navigate the pages are devided into a northern, central and southern part.

I wish you a pleasent reading.
